No — the SmartBlock™ complete blackout system is designed for single-blind installations only. It cannot be used with a dual roller blind setup or with two blinds butted together in the same opening. SmartBlock’s cassette box, side channels, and bottom rail require a continuous, uninterrupted frame to create the sealed light barrier that delivers 100% blackout performance

There's no practical way to fix the side channels securely in the middle of two butting blinds, without compromising performance, and the SmartBlock™ cassette isn't designed to accomodate two blinds, either in dual configuration or butting together

While most blinds can be made up to 3000mm wide, some are restricted to 2800mm or even 2300mm wide due to the fabric width of your chosen fabric. You can confirm max fabric widths by hovering over the tooltip next to any fabric range name in the SmartBlock™ fabric selector

If you require dual roller blinds or butting blind setups – without the complete blackout performance of SmartBlock™ – you may want to explore our custom-made standard blackout blinds and/or our made-to-measure sunscreen blinds ranges instead. These offer more flexibility where dual roller blind configurations and butting blinds are needed

The minimum width depends on the control system you choose:

• Chain-driven SmartBlock™: At least 305mm wide (and minimum drop 305mm)

• Motorised SmartBlock™: At least 407mm wide (minimum drop 305mm)

• Cordless SmartBlock™: 457mm wide (minimum drop 305mm) – plus, with regard to cordless blinds the height can’t be more than four times the width (1:4 width-to-height ratio)
