The depth of your window jamb determines how your SmartBlock™ complete blackout blind can be installed — and there are three main fitting options: inside fit, semi-inside fit, or outside fit

Inside fit gives the sleekest look, with the cassette box front flush with your architrave. For this approach, you’ll need at least 86mm jamb depth for the smaller 89mm cassette or 99mm jamb depth for the larger 114mm cassette

Semi-inside fit is ideal if your jamb depth is limited. The cassette will protrude slightly, but the finish is still neat and tidy. You’ll need at least 62 mm jamb depth for the 89mm cassette or 68mm jamb depth for the 114 mm cassette

Outside fit mounts the blind on the architrave around the window — perfect when your jamb depth is too shallow for the other options
Your SmartBlock™ cassette box size depends on your blind’s width and drop. This can be tricky to work out without guidance, so when sending in your window measurements for a quote also let us know your jamb depth so we can confirm the best option for your windows
